Our fast-paced lives do not encourage stillness. Underneath the external noise, we have within us a place of quiet. We can access this deep inner place of calm and quiet through Yin Yoga. The practice of Yin invites us to come home to ourselves.

About the Event
Yin Yoga is a quiet practice that emphasizes stillness rather than movement. The practice is done on the floor and is passive. During the practice, we find the shape of a pose (one that is safe for each individual) and surrender the weight of the bones to gravity.
Each pose is passively held for several minutes. As we yield connective tissue softens and joint mobility is improved, particularly between the waist and knees. Yin Yoga helps nourish the meridian system and supports emotional balance. By focusing on silence, the practice assists is in accessing the quiet that resides in each of us.
